Primary 5 and 3 went to Dalkeith Country park on Tuesday 26th May 2015 to learn about farming.

The first station they went to was the sasa. The sasa means science and advice for Scottish agriculture. Foods that they plant and grow on a farm includes carrots, beetroot, potatoes and other fruit and vegetables.

We learnt about different kinds of trees oak tree, beech and chestnut. They make paper out wood. Dairy milk is used to make cheese and butter. Did you know that cows have four stomachs! They use the cows milk to make different kinds of milk to sell in the shops blue milk has got whole fat,  red has got no fat and green milk has got medium fat.
